WillowWarm Gold Cup & Family Day

A GOLDEN day for the whole family that also happens to feature The Grade 1 WillowWarm Gold Cup.
The WillowWarm Gold Cup is the feature race on the second day of the Easter Festival and has been won by horse heroes such as Gold Cup winners Galopin Des Champs & Al Boum Photo. The seven race card also features the only Grade 1 race for Novice Mares in the calendar 'The Honeysuckle Mares Novice Hurdle'. A rich €100,000 Tattersalls bumper closes the Sunday card which is alwasy extremely competitive. This day not only features the best of racing but we also have free entertainment to keep those small people busy.

Family Fun Entertainment
At our Final Fence Marquee we have a range of food and beverage outlets, but more importantly will host our resident Magician, Puppet Show and Junior Einstein's Live Science shows. Face painters and Balloon Modellers will also be present. Our petting farm will be down in our Family Fun zone. Birdie our cartoonist will also be in the Final Fence Marquee performing live drawings of everything and anything!
The La Bucca Easter Bonnet Competition, it is a fantastic opportunity for kids to showcase their creative side by making the most colourful and exciting bonnet hats. All you need to do is bring your bonnet with you on the day and enter in the Family Festival Marquee to win a range of prizes from our sponsors La Bucca Restaurant.
Our resident Easter Bunny will be hopping around the racecourse handing out Easter treats to everyone as well as hopping down to the Fairyhouse Kids Club which will be open everyday across the festival. This hidden gem offers a range of games and toys to keep children entertained as well as convenient changing facilities.
The Sandmen
Live from the Festival Marquee, The Sandmen will be sure to have everyone up on their feet both singing and dancing to all the pub classics, delivering an unforgettable performance! Whether its the chorus of 'Whiskey in the Jar' or a singalong to 'Sweet Caroline' this set is not to be missed by all racegoers!
