23rd April 2019
We finish off the Festival with Day 3 and more top class racing. Easter Tuesday has long been recognised as a great day for racing purists and we are delighted to feature the first ever Today FM Ladies Irish National in association with the Marie Keating Foundation. We were extremely proud to host the first ever Ladies Chase in 2015 and to follow up now with the Today FM Ladies Irish National is another fantastic element to the Festival.
In 2015 the great Sir AP McCoy rode his last ever race on Irish soil at this meeting to great fanfare with scenes reminiscent of Beatlemania! In 2016 English trainer Kerry Lee topped off a great festival for her yard with another winner as English Champion Jockey Richard Johnson rode Top Gamble to win in the Grade 2 Normans Grove Chase. What thrills will we have in store for 2017, be here and find out!
usual, we round off a fantastic three days of racing with our
distinguished family fun raceday. After the excitement (and nerves) of the
previous two days our Tuesday meeting promotes a more relaxed atmosphere, with specific
emphasis placed on making the day enjoyable for all the family. This doesn’t
mean compromise on quality and with graded races throughout the day punters are
sure to be kept excited. Our KIDS GO
FREE policy means that all the family can experience one of Ireland’s
most prestigious racecourses, the ‘older ones’, the thrills of and spills of
spring racing, and the ‘younger ones’, all the free entertainment we have on
