MODERN VINTAGE TO TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT THE IRISH GRAND NATIONAL

FAIRYHOUSE RACECOURSE, THIS EASTER MONDAY 2nd APRIL 2018

Carton House, one of Ireland’s leading luxury resorts, is once again proud to host the Most Stylish Lady competition at the Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse this Easter Monday 2ND April 2018. Broadcast journalist, Sky Sports News Presenter, commentator, fashion-lover and ultimate girl crush Olivia Wayne, will judge this year’s competition.

The theme of this year’s Carton House Most Stylish Lady competition is ‘Modern Vintage’. Carton House is the perfect blend of historical grandeur and modern sophistication. This year, the competition invites competitors to take style inspiration from the Earls and Ladies who’ve graced Carton House over time, by embracing ‘modern vintage’ and blending old and new seamlessly together. Mixing modern and vintage pieces or a reinterpretation of styles from the past, be it a full look, an edgy headpiece or a unique accessory, there is a style to inspire every lady to create their own classic look.

Olivia Wayne is a familiar face to many, not just from her Sky Sports News slots, but also from her modelling and presenting work in the world of fashion and sports. Known for her charm presenting Good Morning Sports Fans, she’s excited to be jetting into Dublin to judge this year’s competition:

“Fashion has always been a big part of my life. From my early career working at the press office for Stella Mc Cartney and in fashion PR in the UK, I quickly developed my own sense of style, which I would call classic but always with an element of fun. I love white, grey and black though, so never too crazy! These days, from my work attire TV presenting, to the events I attend and host where I get to dress up, and now my latest career as a new mum, where I want to be comfortable but still express my love of fashion, my wardrobe must cover all basis. I love any excuse to play around with fashion and I’m very much looking forward to seeing all the outfits put together by this year’s Carton House Most Stylish Lady entrants. My biggest tip is to keep your look classic and elegant but with a dash of personality and most of all be true to your own style and of course this year’s competition theme.”

The Carton House Most Stylish Lady winner will win a fabulous trip for two to Boston. Return flights with Aer Lingus and a 3-night’s stay at a 4-star hotel in Boston City. Plus, the lucky winner will also enjoy a luxurious stay (B&B) in the Presidential Suite at Carton House the night before they fly out.

Ladies hoping to vie for the title can register at the Carton House Most Stylish Lady marquee beside the parade ring in Fairyhouse, from 12 noon on Easter Monday.
